Last weekend - the kids were stuck in the house for three days in a row - because of blowing snow and cold- cold temps. By day three they were ready for a change so they bundled up and headed outdoors - as you can see you can't even see their faces - but they were determined and had a great time together - they really do have quite a bond - even though they would be embarassed if they knew I was writing that right now - I was taking these pictures from our bedroom window - I wasn't quite as crazy as they were!(at least not at this moment)

Boy you do have the snow. Great that the kids get together so nice and can enjoy having fun in it.
Those kind of home made fun things still stick in my mind. In 1936 we had really bad weather with very bad means of cleaning up the snow. We could walk right over the cloths lines-then over the fence and right over the roof of our chicken cop. To get into the cop to feed the chickens and get the eggs, we had to scoop, by hand ,enough snow to find the door-enough to squeeze in and that was a lot of snow.
We had to walk over drifts as high as the cop to get to the barn to feed the cattle and hogs-milk the cows etc. All the milk had to be carried back to the house-separated it in the wash room that was attached to the kitchen - then carry the skm milk back to feed the hogs. What a life-but boy how I loved it. Truly, and now have such memories to live with.
