Happy New Year

Yeah - just wanted to wish everyone a very happy NEW YEAR - 2008 - we are planning on going to a hotel with some friends for the evening(Monday night) and letting the kids swim and just hang out and relax - we are going to the big town of Beresford, SD. It is a little town which will be great to not have it so busy - we have gone to Sx Falls before to a hotel and they are packed - this way we will be able to hear each other talk too :)

Paco even did a great job - by the time we went back into the house Jamie's hair was frosted as well. Wishing you all a very Blessed Christmas!!

First big snow/ice storm of the year here today - I went out this morning with the van at 8:30 and plan on not taking it out again till need be - it went OK but the snow is turning to an ice storm and the roads are slick - Jamie and I are busy making goodies and wrapping gifts. It is also the opening day of shotgun season for deer - so Mike is busy with Marcus - seen one this morning but decided to wait since it's the first day and see if any bigger deer come along - they are going out again around 3pm - will keep you all posted if anything happens - first season is open for 5 days.
Jamie was suppose to be playing basketball all day in Hawarden at a tournament and that was cancelled.
The picture is from skiing last winter in South Dakota - the trees were absolutely gorgeous. ( and so is the girl of course - of what you can see of her :)

Trapping 2007

Mike seen our blog for the first time tonight and had a request for a trapping picture - so hear goes - they had a record year with a caught of 163 animals. This picture is from the first day and as you can see it was a great day and we all were together. Tradition is that we all go out and check them on the first day after they are set and it is a fun adventure every year and something that we always look forward to.

30 days till Christmas

Here is one of the many gifts I recieved last Christmas in my stocking - it was quite humorous and the kids had a great time - most of the time the were busting a gut before I even opened the gifts - great holiday memories!! If you can't quite tell - this beautiful bird is actually a pen with a suction cup on the end to set on my desk :)
We are busy setting up Christmas inside and outside this weekend and having a great time doing it.
